Endpoint appointed to the Doha City Tennis Stadium and Sports Precinct, Qatar

The site is set to become a new world-class sports-led destination that underpins Qatar National Development Framework’s (QNDF) vision to make Doha the Gulf’s most liveable city.

The stadium, designed by Arup Associates, will house 12,000 spectators, feature a retractable roof and will sit alongside a new world-class tennis precinct incorporating practice courts and a clubhouse. It aims to join the roster of venues for the ATP Tennis World Tour.

Our wayfinding scheme will include the stadium along with a comprehensive strategy for the masterplan of the whole site. Connectivity to the local urban environment and access to the stadium and tennis precinct areas during event and non-event modes will be a priority.

“We are delighted to be able to contribute towards the creation of this world-class sports destination for Doha. Taking inspiration from the beautifully crafted architecture, our scheme will engage and delight the senses creating a world-class visitor experience.”

Gideon Wilkinson, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Endpoint

Preliminary Design is set to begin in June 2015.
