The Humble Arrow – a 15 second film

The Arrow. From humble beginnings – the pointing of a human finger towards a particular direction, we now have arrows used in all kinds of forms and shapes.

Used widely for environmental graphic design, signage and wayfinding, the arrow is designed principally for legibility. It must unequivocally convey direction.

It’s a symbol we use regularly in our work, so we’re rather fond of them. Here’s our pick of top arrows from the built environment, from those we walk past every day, to the more unusual discovered daubed on walls and beneath our feet on the streets of London.
