The National Museum, Norway opens with wayfinding from Endpoint

The National Museum of Norway – the country’s new home for art, architecture, and design – officially opens this month in the centre of Oslo. This ambitious project consolidates four of the country’s national museums in one location, making it the biggest art museum in the Nordic region.

Appointed by Statsbygg, the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property, and working alongside the Oslo based design consultancy, Metric, Endpoint devised a bilingual wayfinding system which can be followed in Norwegian or English.

The museum’s Senior Exhibition Designer, Ragna R. Jacobsen commented: “Endpoint helped us realise our vision for the museum with a solid wayfinding strategy that set out clear objectives… Their expertise and understanding of the cultural sector shine through.”

We’re excited about the official opening of The National Museum of Norway on 11 June 2022. Stay posted on our complete case study.
