The Bower – Wayfinding signage

A new landmark quarter for London's Old Street

View

Helical’s vision for this underperforming 1960’s site was to create a new vibrant, modern and engaging quarter in the heart of the London’s ‘tech belt’. With architects AHMM they are reinventing and revitalising the area, creating a new community and a destination called The Bower.

Endpoint was asked to help with shaping and developing the wayfinding signage as part of Campbell Hays branding initiative. Their concept explored the relationship between the new buildings and the older industrial part of the site. This led to our product designers specifying both traditional sign writing techniques along with hyper-accurate laser cut materials that work together beautifully.

The site posed some unique navigational issues, requiring a strategic wayfinding approach that worked with the landscape and lighting concepts. This helps occupiers and visitors with finding the new amenities and importantly lead to much happier commercial tenants.

We continued to be involved with the wayfinding signage for phase 2; The Tower, where we are exploring design concepts for a high-quality beacon sign.

Endpoint has implemented the brand through signage across our development. They have worked with us to design and develop the wayfinding strategy for The Bower which has been essential to the successful completion of the first Phase of The Bower scheme.
